Creating a screen shot

A picture tells 1000 words, so sending a screen shot when reporting a bug is always encouraged. Below are some of the various ways to capture a screen shot:

On a PC:
– Press the PrtScn key and the entire screen will be copied to the clipboard.
– Press Alt key and the PrtScn keys simultaneously, only the active window will be copied to the clipboard.

You can press the Ctrl and V keys simultaneously to paste from the clipboard into a document, such as Word or Paint.

On a PC running Windows Vista or higher:
– Use the Snipping Tool. In the Start menu where it says Search programs and files type the word snip and select the search icon.

On a Mac – Press the following keys simultaneously:
– Command, Shift, and 3 The screen will be captured, and will prompt you to save it as a file on the desktop.
– Command, Shift, and 4 Then select an area. The selection will be captured, and will prompt you to save it as a file on the desktop.
– Command, Shift, and 4, then press the spacebar, Then click a window. The window will be captured, and will prompt you to save it as a file on the desktop.
– Command, Control, Shift, and 3 The screen will be captured, and will be saved on the clipboard
– Command, Control, Shift, and 4 Then select an area. The are will be captured, and will be saved on the clipboard
– Command, Control, Shift, and 4, then press the spacebar Then click a window. The window will be captured, and will be saved on the clipboard

Press the Command and V keys simultaneously to paste from the clipboard into a document.
