New role to focus on helping colleges and universities use a data-driven approach for enrollment and retention priorities
Victoria, BC – Millennium Computer Systems Ltd, a leader in reporting and analytics for higher education, today announced Erika Veth, EdD joined the company to lead client development. In her new role, she will help customers design and implement data-driven approaches to improving enrollment, retention, and overall student experience.
Erika was most recently Associate Vice President of Strategic Enrollment Management at Oregon Institute of Technology in Klamath Falls, Oregon. There she served as the senior leader of the Strategic Enrollment Management division of the university across its multiple locations and online campus. She previously served as Dean of Online Education and was a faculty member at the University of Alaska Anchorage. With an extensive background in instructional design, Erika earned her Doctorate of Education from Capella University, her Master of Arts degree from University of Alaska Anchorage, and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington.
“We are very excited to have Erika join our team,“ said Peter Bruynzeel, CPA at Millennium. “Combining her expertise in strategic enrollment with our reporting and analytics software brings an entirely new solution to the market focused on the enrollment and retention challenges every higher education institution is facing.”
While at the Oregon Institute of Technology, Erika provided strategic direction and management of Admissions, Financial Aid, Advising & Retention, Educational Partnerships & Outreach, and Online Education for the university. Under her leadership, the university saw the largest increase of freshmen students at the institution in more than 30 years, historic increases in applications and admitted students, and a 58% increase in online student headcount.
“I am thrilled to join the Millennium team and help colleges and universities on their own enrollment data journeys,” said Erika Veth. “My passion for using data to make informed decisions regarding enrollment scaling and growth—as well as examining how enrollment intersects with budget and fiscal planning—led me to transition out of the public higher education arena and into this position at Millennium where I can share experience and approach broadly.”
